Fleetwood Mac at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ April 24, 2013

What can I say?  Fleetwood Mac is one of my all time favorite bands.  Their music is classic and you can't help but know their countless hits when they come blasting out of the speakers-whether you're in your car, at home listening to the radio or out shopping-The Mac is still around.

Their first outing since 2009's "Unleashed" Tour, their "Live 2013" tour is a mix of celebrating the 35th anniversary of their hit album "Rumours" along with including a bevy of hits throughout their career including 2 new songs from a recently released iTunes EP entitled "Fleetwood Mac Extended Play".

The last time The Mac hit the road, I was just starting to get into Stevie Nicks.  I always knew of the super famous group.  When I was a kid, I remember "Silver Springs" on the radio and their reunion concert "The Dance" that was broadcast on TV.  Yeah, I knew who Stevie was and enjoyed a few of her songs, but I wasn't what you'd call a huge fan.  Then I picked up her greatest hits, "Crystal Visions" and realized I knew over half the songs.  That lead me into her DVD "Live In Chicago" and when I looked to see where she was playing at-turns out she was with The Mac and they were coming to Philly.

I saw the show and was blown away...2 1/2 hours, over 20 songs...incredible experience.  I also loved that they did my all time favorite Mac/Stevie song, "Silver Springs".  I also fell in love with a song from the "Tusk" album entitled "Storms".  When they added the Baltimore tour date, I went with my co-worker who was a Mac fan and never saw them live.  She loved the show-especially Lindsey-but I was a bit disappointed-no "Silver Springs".  When they came to Atlantic City, I was there, about 40 rows back on Stevie's side...fantastic show, but...no "Silver Springs".

I saw Stevie solo in 2010, 2011 and 2012...all great and each show a different experience.  Stevie was enjoying herself more, sounded better than ever.

Then in 2013...FLEETWOOD MAC TOUR!

Of course, since I'm an avid concert goer, money was a bit tight when tickets went on sale and Philly "sold out".  I got tickets to see them at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ since I knew where it was and it seemed like a smaller venue.

I was a little unsure about the "side view" warning for my seats, but I couldn't have asked for a better view!  I was right there about the stage!  This show was fantastic and the band was on fire.  They sounded great and were all into it, they fed off the energy.  When it came time for the encore, I braced myself...they were going to do "Silver Springs"...they did it at every show...but instead they started talking and ended the night with "Say Goodbye", skipping my favorite song.  Despite the amazing experience, I was a bit crushed of all the tour dates they've done, they only skipped "Silver Springs" at my show in Newark.  I heard from some that it was cut due to venue curfew and from others Stevie wasn't feeling well.  Either way, I enjoyed my Mac experience and couldn't have asked for a more fun evening.
